My name is Vanessa Figueroa and I am a portrait photographer based in Houston, Texas. I’m fluent in Spanglish and movie quotes, love to dance, and hate injustice.

As a wife, mom, and grandma, I know how quickly life changes. That’s why I’m passionate about creating genuine portraits that celebrate this season of your life, whether you’re welcoming a new baby, celebrating a senior, gathering your family, or simply choosing to remember today.

My goal is simple: to create photographs that feel like you and become treasured keepsakes for generations. Because someday, these photos won’t just remind you what life looked like-they’ll remind you how it felt.

Why “Fig Leaf”?

It started with the image of a family tree and the stories that grow from it. Then while thinking about leaves, I connected the first part of my last name, Fig, since it’s a type of leaf on a tree.
